REGROWTH is a sustainability mission to reduce our carbon footprint through clean manufacturing, fair labor practices, giving back to the community, and planting trees for each one harvested to make skateboards with the National Forest Foundation.
In response to ongoing environmental concerns Dwindle has been working hard over the years to manufacture more responsibly. We have dedicated time and resources to our REGROWTH Program which consists of not only replanting the trees we use to make skateboards, but a broader plan to become more sustainable and reduce our carbon footprint. Our goals are to replace, reuse, and reduce waste, while also give back to community. Below are our some of the actions we’ve taken to help the environment. Follow us as we continue to put more sustainability goals into action to keep forests green.
Dispose of these bags at a compost facility, home compost or in the trash. Do not put compostables into your recycling. They are not recyclable and will contaminate the recycling process.
We plant trees for every tree used to make skateboards. Our goal is to replenish the wood used from production of all skateboards, not just the ones we produce to keep skateboarding sustainable. Dwindle has been participating in this program since 2018! Our goal is to increase the amount of saplings planted per year to make sure we are producing responsibly.
The REGROWTH program has partnered with the National Forest Foundation (NFF) to donate to their tree-planting efforts. Already doubling our contribution from last year, in 2020 our donation to the NFF will plant more than three times the amount of trees we use to make our skateboards.
The NFF is a United States non-profit organization that launched an ambitious campaign to plant 50 million trees across public National Forests between 2018 and 2023. The NFF partners with the United States Forest Service to target National Forests impacted by wildfire, pests and other disturbances. Dwindle Distribution is proud to be making a contribution towards that effort.
